2026 AAPI Festival Demonstration application

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball and the AAPI Commission, in partnership with the Inner Arbor Trust, is hosting the fifth annual Asian American and Pacific Islander Festival at Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods.

Please submit your application by Friday, April 24.

The mission of the AAPI Festival is uplifting cultural diversity, connection, and representation.

This application is for anyone interested in showcasing a demonstration or activity. This might include teaching guests dance steps, demonstrating a visual art form, or playing a game.

The majority of demonstrations will be 5 - 10 minutes long. There are a few spaces for longer blocks of time for board games, crafts, or other activities that are easier for guests to drop into at will.

Activities will take place on the lawn in an area of the park accessible to all guests but will not be a perfectly flat surface.
